Time for an update 2

The website has been quiet some weeks, but that is not because nothing has happened. On the contrary, so much has been going on that I havn't  had much time for writing here.

I spent the past three weeks organizing and executing the boat transport from Oslo to Tromsø. It was a looong drive and I also had to return the car and trailer to Oslo. I will tell the story later, today I just want to say that back in May I wrote:
"There are two main priorities for Tromsø Roklubb right now.
1) Transporting the boats from Oslo to Tromsø
2) Finding a boat house for the rowing club"

Now we can check off the first and fokus on finding or establishing a permanent boat house.

Boat transport 4

Today I received a preliminary trailer license, so now we can proceed with planning of the boat transport! E-mails are flying back and forth between Oslo and Tromsø.

Boat transport 3

Today I have started with the trailer driving lessons at my own expense. I should be able to finish the lessens within a week. The next obstacle is then administrative waiting time for my new license. I have had to trade in my Danish drivers license to swap it for a Norwegian license. That apparently can take 3 months or more... Then I can apply for the upgrade of my driver license to include the trailer license.

I am hoping it will be possible to receive a preliminary trailer license as soon as I finish the trailer training, but I don't know for sure yet if that will be possible.

More updates will follow as the situation develops.
